Childhood Obesity

Obesity can be defined as a human condition that impairs normal function and implies ill-health.
The main causes of obesity are unhealthy food choice, lack of physical activity and sedentary life style.Obesity is a national epidemic in Australia. For example, one quarter of Australian children, 7 to 15 years olds are overweight or obesity. Also it is pridicted that 65 per cent of Australian children will be obesity in 2020. But obesity is not only a national problem. It is worldwide problem in developed countries. Likewise, childhood obesity cause the undesired damage to the health such as eating disorder, type 2 diabetes, liver problem, sleep apnoea and cardiomyopathy.In addition, obesity make social problem from teasing by the peer, low self-esteem , poor body image and children can be isolated.But obesity is a preventable disease which is linked with healthy food choice, limiting on TV and computer time and increasing fun activities.

Harmony day 2010

Harmony day began in 1999. Harmony day is about celebrating and encourging repect for our diversity on 21, March in every year. I have never joined the harmony day event before but I did some work with my daughter for school harmony day. It was so nice time to know differnt cultures and I was so proud of myself to live in Australia. Most of people in Korea don't know about Harmony day. There are many people who are from other countries because of intermationl marriges. International marriges are growing in Korea nowadays. I really want to share with those people in Korea.. "This world belong to us."
